Blue Laces – For The Grassroots Game
A New Idea for Grassroots

Over the past few weeks, while our code-monkey in chief has been putting the finishing touches on the Bluefields.com site, we’ve come up with a new idea which we hope you’re all going to like. It’s called Blue Laces and it’s all about supporting Grassroots Football.
It’s All About the Game
So, our focus with Bluefields has always been about allowing teams, specifically managers, to focus more on playing the game of football and spend less time caught up in the boring and frustrating admin side of things. We’re trying to do lots of things with Bluefields, but our underlying aim has always been reducing manager dropout by making managing less daunting, thus enabling more people to play. If we have a crusade (and we are very passionate about this) it’s helping grassroots sports to prosper, even in a cold economic climate.
So How Can Blue Laces Help?
We’re well aware of the challenges that face grassroots football at the moment – one of the main problems is a lack of funding for small clubs and the local projects that help to get more people into sport. Whilst we know about these problems and we assume you,as an avid reader of the blog, do too, most people outside of the sport aren’t aware of these issues and don’t understand the problems facing grassroots sports in the future.
This is where Blue Laces comes in. What if, just by changing the laces in your football boots, you could help fund local football schemes, show your support for the sport you love and look exceptionally cool out on the pitch? With Blue Laces we’ll be helping people do just these things. The idea is pretty simple – for every pair of Blue Laces that are bought, a share of the revenue will go to the Blue Laces grassroots charity fund with the rest helping us to keep developing the Bluefields.com project.
Sounds Like a Good Idea?
We’d really like to know if you think this is a good idea, and whether you’d be interested in getting one of the first pairs of laces when they’re available. If you’d like us to tell you when the laces are available to buy, then enter your Name and Email address below. We’re looking forward to helping Grassroots football with you.
